As a photographer, my journey has been shaped by the vibrant tapestry of New York City and the influence of HIP hop/high fashion culture.
Growing up in the heart of the city to immigrant parents of Egyptian & guatemalan decent, I learned the value of hard work and determination as well as learning the value of perseverance and the beauty of diversity from a young age. Coming from a humble background, I was always drawn to the raw energy and creativity of the hip hop/high fashion scene, which provided a powerful source of inspiration and motivation for me.
Despite the challenges of growing up in a less privileged environment, I found solace and inspiration in the pages of magazines and the visuals of music videos.
It was through these mediums that I discovered the art of photography, the art of visual story telling, and developed a deep passion for capturing the essence of the world around me.
Today, my photography style is a reflection of my diverse upbringing and the influence of hip hop/high fashion culture. I strive to infuse my work with a unique blend of bougie elegance, a touch of sensuality AND GRITTY REALISM. My images are a testament to the contrasts and dynamism of life in the city, capturing both the opulence and the raw, unfiltered beauty that surrounds us.
